Man Fires Shots In Residential Neighborhood Of Southampton, Police Say

A 46-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly firing shots in a residential neighborhood last year.

John McKay, of Riverside, was arrested on Monday, June 17, by Southampton Town Police for an incident that took place at the intersection of Brown Street and Goodridge Avenue in the hamlet of Riverside on May 9, 2018, said Det. Lt. James Kiernan

McKay was charged with reckless endangerment after an investigation revealed that he allegedly fired four shots from a .45 caliber handgun while several individuals were at the location, Kiernan said.

He was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court and remanded to the Suffolk County Jail.
